I hope this update finds everyone well. I keep saying in these updates that I hope things will get back to normal soon and that I long for the times when life was "boring". Boring to me now equals peaceful!! This update is a difficult one to write. Don't know where to begin and what to divulge while being respectful. So, I'll just dive into what most of you have probably already heard.
Jill and Jerry have decided to get a divorce. As most of you know, usually not one singular thing causes two people to separate. That is the case with them. It's always a disappointment when a marriage doesn't work out, but ultimately, the pair has to decide what is right for them in the long run. Jill now lives in Sand Springs with the girls and is very much looking forward to knocking out this last surgery. The surgery will be on May 29th at 7 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital. She'll only be in the hospital for one night, then home to recuperate.
Peyton has been keeping us busy with t-ball and dance. She has t-ball games on Saturday mornings, and her team, the Angels, is the cutest out there (of course ;o) with black and pink outfits. Her dance recital was this past Saturday, and I have to say that she was one of the most enthused dancers out there - very much into it! Lainey's latest accomplishment is walking (at 10 months). She is a fearless little girl in every way. Falling down doesn't faze her a bit. Also, she puts EVERYthing into her mouth now. Doesn't matter if it's grass, a bug, dirt, or toilet paper, into the mouth it goes. Her most recent thing is to try to feed us her little snacks. So cute.
As for the rest of us, last Friday we met up at Avalon Steakhouse to celebrate Jr.'s, Dad's, and Mema's birthdays. They are 66 (4/25), 56 (4/26), and 87 (4/27), respectively. Only in this family could we have 8 take home boxes - never leave anything on the table! Also, Mema spent the night with me after the dinner, and we got up the next morning and went to Peyton's t-ball game. Good times.
